November is National Adoption month and a time to celebrate the families created through adoption. The Footprints to a Forever Family 5K Run and Walk proceeds raised will go to share the message of the need for more adoptive families to help waiting children find a way home.
The 5K run and walk takes place Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015. The race will start at Bayview Park at 10 am. Everyone can participate in the celebration with children's activities, music, snacks and doorprizes. A children's fun run will take place at 11:30 am.
Early packet pick-up and event registration information will be available on Thursday, Nov. 19 from 3 pm – 6 pm at Lakeview Center's Activity Center, 1110 W. Lakeview Ave. in Pensacola. A $5 late registration will start on 11/16/2014. Registration the day of event will be from 8:00- 9:30 am and cost is $25.
Long sleeve t-shirts will be provided for 200 registrants. Stepping Stone Awards (as shown on home page) will be given for overall male and female runners and walkers. All children participating in the mile-long Fun Run will receive a ribbon.
